The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) is the largest trade association in the U.S.
The Center for REALTOR® Development (CRD) is NAR's home for exceptional education. Through CRD, real estate professionals can discover continuing education opportunities – such as earning a credential in a specialized segment of the industry. CRD is dedicated to helping NAR members grow their businesses.
In order to be referred to as a REALTOR®, real estate professionals must have active membership through NAR. CRD membership is an additional annual fee. Due to the additional cost and commitment, CRD members are often more engaged in NAR activities and more dedicated to keeping up with the latest real estate trends and information.
Because CRD is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NAR, CRD operates as a slightly more independent entity. Its brand standards vary from the umbrella brand, and the group has its own teams for marketing, course development, and member services.
In a saturated market (there are over 1.5 million REALTORS®), CRD members are typically seeking out opportunities to stand out from the crowd. It was both a challenge and a pleasure to develop creative concepts to inform NAR members about CRD, and to keep them coming back for more.
